My new Galitarian heavy freighter. Model was made very quickly, low poly with a single texture. Was fun, wanna make more of such a kind ;)

Hope you like it! :)

Very nice, particularly for low-poly, single texture!  What did you use?

Thank you! I first made a rather generic hull-texture in PS and then simply started modeling in SketchUp ;)

Sketchup obviously has a lot more to offer than I thought ;) How'd you manage with a single texture though? If it's low poly, surely not all the bumps and panels are modelled in?  The lights are done in post?

Well, a great deal comes from the external renderer called Kerkythea. But I think modeling wise (at least architecture, ships and stuff) SketchUp can offer quite a lot and especially very fast. But most bumps were achieved via bump-mapping. Was surprised how well that worked with such a quickly made texture. The model itself has barely 7,5k tris. And if you mean the flares coming from the lights: yes, they were added in Photoshop ;)
